    Description

    Vintage Ole Larsen Irish Setter & English Setter Metal Trays 1940 (Dogs).
    Ole Larsen  (1898 - 1984) Artist, specialized in paintings of animals and animal portraiture; illustrations for judging manual farm animals pictorially,  as well as illustrations for medical circulars and pamphlets for veterinary medicine.
    He painted mainly dogs and horses and most of his known work is from the 1940's and 1950's.  Larsen also painted dogs for a 1941 book showing each breed of dog and he did calendar art for the Gerlach Barklow Company of Joliet, Illinois.  Some of his paintings are on serving trays.
