I don't really know much about this item. I assume it needs only a new flint and gas pumped into it, but honesty really don't know. It may only need gas, or it may need a rebuild.
The small spring loaded door that houses the flint works fine and moves smoothly. The lid opens and closes smoothly and the lines are seamless once closed, as seen in the pictures. I am happy to ask any additional questions you might have.
