:  The name is Sterolist, not SterEolist.
This is a rather unusual viewer made in the UK.  It is a close copy of the Realist red button viewer. It has equally good achromatic lenses and similar design of rack and pinion focus and interocular.
This viewer has characteristic that makes it a good candidate for 2x2x2 conversion

The
slide slot is wider
than standard Realist format. This was done to accommodate both the Realist (101x41mm) and the wider 107x45mm stereo format, which preceded the Realist (eventually the Realist format dominated the market).
Because of the wider slot,
this viewer is the best candidate for conversion to 2x2x2
viewer.  This is what David Burder has done here.  The conversion is not easy because one need to open a slot to have the slides fall a bit lower so that they are centered properly.  It is however easier than other viewers because they is not need to widen the slot horizontally.
In addition to this conversion, David had changed the
switch
to an electronic switch. When you press the switch button, instead of metals making contact, he has installed an electric switch, which is more reliable (does not flicker).
I have personally serviced the viewer and installed an LED bulb ( value).
A couple of notes
:
2x2x2 format means that you have two separate full frame slides, the Right and Left. Some people use this format. The viewer will not work with standard stereo slides, only with separate slides.
The viewer is optimized for horizontal format. If you put vertical slides, the top and bottom is cropped off.
This is really a rare item, and should be priced a lot higher. It comes from the Sheldon Arronowtiz collection (he was a good friend of David Burder). You will not find another one like that. The reason I have priced it low (I think the asking price is low, compared to the value and rarity of this viewer) is that not a lot of people use the 2x2x2 format, so the demand is low.
