    Description

    This impressive ceramic figurine of an Irish Setter bird dog retrieving it's quarry is very unique.  I have seen chalkware (plaster) versions of this but very few ceramic ones.  Probably made in China, it shows the beautiful form of the Setter moving thru tall grass returning the duck to the hunter. This figurine measures 12" long nose to tail tip and is 7.5" high. The dog is a golden reddish color with bright black eyes and nose.  The only defect I find is a repair to a previous break between the two front paws as shown in the photo.  Barely noticeable I initially found it by looking at the underside.  The paint used to cover the area was not a gloss but blends very well.  This would make a great desk, mantel or shelf piece for the lover of Irish Setters and small game hunters. Priced lower because of defect.
