"LES CHIENS D'ARRET (ENGLISH GUNDOGS)" this is a very large antique hard back dog book portfolio (18.5" x 14") it comprises 148 pages of text and 12 superb full page colour illustrations of English Gundogs by Olivier De Penne together with 50 black & white vignette illustrations. Issued in a limited edition the breeds covered are, The Gordon Setter, English Setter, Irish Setter, Pointer, Curly Coated Retriever, Clumber, Sussex, Cocker & Irish Water Spaniel, there is also an illustration of a Beagle and Rottweiler. Each large colour illustration is bound with a separate leaf of the pedigrees of the dogs. This is a very large beautiful dog book which is very difficult to find as it was issued as a portfolio of loose illustrations and pages of text (the pages of text is in French) it is in very good condition in its original illustrated binding.
