Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a beautiful Irish Setter dog named Ion and owned by Paul Caillard.
The caption reads:  Ion, Setter Irlandais Rouge, appartenant a m. Paul Caillard
which roughly translates to:

,
Setter
Irish
dog
,

Caillard
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
8.5 x 5.5 inches (21.5 x 14 cm), with a French caption below and text above it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
